Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Oh wow I loved this book! It would have been a perfect stand alone but HOLY CRAP THERES MORE! And I'm so excited to dive in to the next books! I loved the characters were perfect and the world was so cool and unique and I loved it.
Alina: You are so strong and so loving but OMG YOU CAN KICK SOME BUTT! I love you and I loved going on this ride with you.
Mal: First let me state the fact that we will be getting married tomorrow.. I'm kidding but I loved you and when we got to spend time with you, that was when I was having most fun! Your sweet and loving and I can't even...
The Darkling: I love you but hate you! Wow. You are so cool and so evil and yet so amazing! I wish I would have loved you more BUT THATS NOT MY FAULT! You know I still want you to go screw yourself...
Leigh has created this wonderful world that I couldn't help but love. Her writing style was so neat and unique and so precise! I loved it. I have been doing this a lot lately but that's because there are so many amazing books out there, 5 Stars.

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

This book was so incredibly beautiful. The promises the characters made, the love that they felt and the while backstory behind them all was heart wrenching a beautiful.
Holder was such an ass when he first came into the story. He was so moody and jealous and weird and I wasn't sure I liked him. But then there was this whole other side to him that I couldn't help but fall in love with. He had such passion and love that filled my heart with such joy! He was such a beautiful character.
Sky was so incredibly strong. She was so incredible and so loving. The passion in all these characters were so beautiful. I imagined her as Shailene Woodley. She would be perfect. She's so beautiful and kind and funny and I love her character. I related to the way she felt all the time and that made me feel happy.
Colleens writing style is so beautiful. She fills your heart up with love and passion and joy until it just explodes with emotions and you can't help but notice that your balling on the floor.
This story was, over all, brilliant. The plot was so clear and so intriguing. I really love this book.

December Wrap Up!

Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing with you all of the books I have read in December!
The first book I read was Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I absolutely fell in love with this book! It was filled with such awesome and break - neck action, a heart warming triangle and a thrilling mystery! The last thing is that the main character is an assassin... If that doesn't get you excited to read this book, I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL! 5 stars.
The second book I read was Just In Case by Meg Rosoff. It was super hard to get into this at first, but once you get about 150 pages in, your definitely in for the ride. Meg Rosoff is one of the most influential authors I have ever read. She teaches me so much about family and love and just how to live and I applaud her so hard for that. She makes me just want to try new things and visit new places and wow. Her writing is. On. Point. 4 1/2 stars.
The third book I have read this month is the Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings. This book was so awesome. It was so gory and made me think so much, cringe so much (because of the gore) and made me feel so many things at once! It was so unpredictable too and I LOVE that in a book. I was like "Oh this going to - HOLY CRAP WHAT THE HECK????" So... Yea! 5 Stars!
The fourth book I read was My True Love Gave To Me by Various Authors. There are so many authors who wrote this! It is mostly by Stephanie Perkins, but also the authors who wrote the twelve holiday stories. This book was. So. Duper. Cute. All the little romances were so adorable and so heartwarming! It made me feel like I wasn't so lonely! But then I stopped reading and got back into reality. It was so perfect for the holidays. 12 stars (do you get it? Like, 12 holiday stories and... ok)!!
So those are all the books I have read in December, I hope you enjoyed and I will have another post up soon! Bye.

2014 Favorites!

Hi guys! So today I saw Katytastics (on YouTube) video of her favorite books of 2014. If you want to watch it, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjrLuLLzYvM

So I decided that I wanted to make one of my own 2014 favorites too! I also will be using her categories.

1) The Best New Series
So I feel like the best new series is The Murder Complex series by Lindsay Cummings. I loved The Murder Complex. It was so amazing and wonderful. It made me cry, laugh, feel the feelings of all the feels..... yes. This was such an amazing story and I NEED THE DEATH CODE RIGHT NOW!! AHHHHHH!!!

2) The Best Installment in a Series
I feel like this award goes to The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancy. I loved this book. All it did was make me crave for the third and FINAL book in this trilogy. Can I just point out how much fun Evan and Cassie's relationship is? The banter.... I love it so so much!!!

3) The Best Series Finale
This award goes to, without a doubt, City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. Cassie really knows how to tell a story and how to rap it up. This book made me cry through the entire thing and I am so grateful that I have this series in my life. I loved this book and I am so excited to read all of her books.

4) Best Stand Alone Fantasy
Now I do have some stand alone fantasy books, but the only problem is that I haven't read them yet. I have read one but it does have companion novels. Oh well, I'll count it as a stand alone. So this award goes to Grave Mercy by Robin LaFeveres. I loved this book so much. It was so fun and funny and sweet and kick butt!! AGHHH!! I cannot wait to read the other companion novels.

5) Best Contemporary Novel
This award goes to How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff. I Loved this book so so so much. It was so cute with the romance and taught me so much about how family is so important and just this book was so heart warming and wrenching at the same time. This was an amazing story.

6) Best Fantasy
This award goes to Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. This book.. UUUUUUUGHH. The plot line was such a page turner and the characters were so funny and sweet and kick butt!! I really loved this story and how it was told and Sarah, wow, you are one talented person.

7) Best Adult Book
Don't own any.... oops?

8) Best Middle Grade Novel
Now for this one, I didn't finish but when I was reading it, I was having soo much fun! So this award goes to Dormia by Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinski... I am so sorry Peter, I probably spelled your last name wrong! Sorry!! I was reading this to my cousin and it was super fun and funny and weird and mysterious and cool! I really like this series and I definitely want to continue on with it!

9) Prettiest Book
Now this is a tie between These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner and Alienated by Melissa Landers. Here they are:

Aren't they just gorgeous?

10) Best Book Overall
The best book of 2014, according to me, is *drum roll* LUX BEGINNINGS BY JENNIFER L ARMENTROUT! This book made me laugh and cry and feel all nice and tingly inside. Jen can really tell a story with such grace and charm and beauty. This didn't take any time at all to become my favorite series. I am so happy that I read this and I wouldn't trade that experience for the world.

EXTRA CATEGORIES

11) Worst Book of 2014
Now this award goes to one of my school books. Tangerine by Edward Bloor. I had many problems with this book, those mainly being:
Couldn't relate to the characters
No plot line that I could really see
Too many things all happened at once
They never answered any questions, just added more questions that were never answered.
I really didn't like this book.

12) Best Book to Move Adaptation
Mockingjay Part 1. Holy crap. I walked out of the movie theater frazzled. I was suprised about how perfect this adaptation was. In my opinion, this book needed to be stretched out longer. It needed to be more than 390 pages long. And I am so happy that this movie is in 2 parts. In the book, all we really saw was Katniss's point of view, but in the movie we saw President Snow, Gayle, Peeta, etc and that really did the book justice. We got to go into more detail that way and that was so helpful to the audience who hasn't read the book, and to the fans.

13) Most Anticipated Book to Movie Adaptation of 2015
MOCKINGJAY PART 2 PEOPLE!!! These book to movie adaptations are my favorite ever in the entire world. They are so faithful to the books and so awesome! I just.... ahhhh! I need this right now.

14) Most anticipated book release of 2015
Now there are so many books that I am excited about in 2015, but if I had to chose, it would be Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare. I - I'm so pumped I just-

So that is all for my favorite books of 2014! Thank you so much for the support! Love you all! Bye!

How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff

Hi guys! So I will be reviewing How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff.
Fifteen-year-old Daisy is sent from Manhattan to England to visit her aunt and cousins she’s never met: three boys near her age, and their little sister. Her aunt goes away on business soon after Daisy arrives. The next day bombs go off as London is attacked and occupied by an unnamed enemy.
As power fails, and systems fail, the farm becomes more isolated. Despite the war, it’s a kind of Eden, with no adults in charge and no rules, a place where Daisy’s uncanny bond with her cousins grows into something rare and extraordinary. But the war is everywhere, and Daisy and her cousins must lead each other into a world that is unknown in the scariest, most elemental way.
This book was so amazingly real and so influential. It taught me so much about love and family and sticking together; and how that can really help you in so many ways. This was so funny to, I laughed so hard whilst reading this! Meg, you are so talented and such an amazing writer.
I love you all so much! I hope you liked this blog post!
Bye!
